Reading: Mt.18 :1-18
That time has come to Yehoshu ‘disciples saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? 2 Yehoshu ‘called a little child, set him in the midst of them, 3 And said, Verily I say unto you except ye be converted and become as little children ye not in any way enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 5 And whoever welcomes in my name one such little child, receiveth me. 6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me better for him that hanged about his neck a millstone and to be drowned in the depth of mar.7 Woe unto the world because of offenses! Yeah inevitably come , more woe to that man by whom the offense cometh! 8 Therefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut it off and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed or lame, than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire. 9 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye than with two eyes to be cast into hell fogo.10 Let it not seem of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in céus.11 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was perdido.12 What do you think? If someone has a hundred sheep and one of them is former traviar not leave the ninety-nine in the hills to fetch the one that wandered off? 13 And, find it, verily I say that has more joy over this than over the ninety and nine which went not astray. 14 Thus it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that the one of these little ones perish. 15 Moreover if your brother sins, go and rebuked him between thee and him alone: if he hear thee, thou shalt have won your brother; 16 But if he will not hear, take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. 17 If he refuses to hear them, tell it unto the congregation, and if he refuses to listen to the congregation, let him be as a heathen and a publican. 18 Verily I say unto you, whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
The apostles inquired about the Kingdom of Heaven, but considering the habitation of angels and archangels; Yerroshu ‘, however, told them that the kingdom of heaven was on earth and among them (see Mk. 1:15) and the apostles that they there represented the whole Congregation, were the subjects of this kingdom and ministers.
Many parents who followed Yerroshu ‘brought their children with them (Mar.10: 14), therefore the child to whom the text refers was not like any one of the sons of opponents Yerroshu’; was a child who was following him!
When writing to the congregation in Corinth the Apostle Sh’aul mentioned this teaching Yerroshu ‘saying that boys should be in malice and in understanding. I Cor.14: 20.
This conversation Yerroshu ‘also delegated authority to publicly his congregation to turn someone in his kingdom.
