And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended he was hungry. 3 Then I told him the Devil: If thou be the Son of the eternal God, command this stone to become bread. 4 Yehoshu ‘, however, answered him: It is written in the Torah: Not by bread alone doth man live. 5 Then the devil, taking him to a high place and showed him in a flash all the kingdoms of the world. 6 And he said to him: Give unto thee all the authority and glory of them, because I was given, and to whom I will give; 7 if thou therefore worship me, all shall be thine. 8 Yehoshu answered him ‘It is written in the Torah: The Y’HWH thy God worship, and serve him only. 9 And he brought him to Yehoshalá-ym and placed on the pinnacle of the temple and said to him: If thou be the Son of the eternal God, cast thyself down to; 10 because it is written in the Torah: At his angels charge concerning you that you guard; 11 and they shall bear thee up in their hands to ever stumble into some pedra.12 Yehoshu answered him ‘: It is said not to try Y’HWH thy God. 13 And the devil taking over every temptation, he departed from him until the opportune time. 14 Then returned Yehoshu ‘for Galil in the power of the Spirit, and his fame went throughout all the country. 15 And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified by all. 16 Getting to Nazareth where he had been created and entered into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, as was his custom, and stood up to read. 17 It was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Isaiah, and opening it, found the place where it was written, 18 The Spirit; Y’HWH is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach good news to the poor, He has sent me to proclaim pair liber-tion to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, 19 to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. 20 And he closed the book, gave it back to the attendant and sat down, and the eyes of all in the synagogue were phyto him. 21 Then, he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears. 22 And they gave their testimony, and marveled at the gracious words coming out of his mouth, and said, This is not the son of Yoseh? 23 He told them Yehoshu ‘: No doubt you will say to me this proverb, Physician, heal thyself; All I heard we made in teres K’farNachum, do also here in thy country. 24 And he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his hometown. 25 Verily I say unto you there were many widows in Israel in the days of Eliahu, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, so that there was a great famine throughout all the land; 26 and none of them; Eliahu was sent, but the a widow in Zarephath in Sidon. 27 And many lepers were in Israel in the time of the prophet Elishuab, but none of them was cleansed except Naaman the Syrian. 28 All who were in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath, 29 and rose up, drove him out of town and took him to the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, thence to the cliff. 30 But he passing through the midst of them, went his way. 31 Then came the K’farNachum city of Galil, and taught them on the sabbath. 32 And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power. 33 There was in their synagogue a man who had a spirit of an unclean devil, and cried aloud: 34 Ah! What we have with you, Yeshu ‘of Natzeret? Vieste destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy of the eternal God. 35 But Yehoshu ‘rebuked him, saying, Here it yourself, and come out of him. And the devil, taking him down to the ground among the people, came out of him without doing him any harm. 36 And they were all amazed, and spoke among themselves, asking each other: What is this pa-mining for with authority and power commands the unclean spirits, and they come out? 37 And if his fame spread abroad everywhere the surroundings. 38 And rising Yehoshu ‘, left the synagogue and entered the house of Shimom, and, standing on the mother of Shimom sick with a high fever, they besought him for her. 39 And he, tilt-ing to her, rebuked the fever, and it left her. But he rebuked them and would not let them speak: for they knew that he was the Messiah 42 At daybreak he departed and went into a desert place: and the multitudes sought him and came to him, wanted to stop him so that not depart from them. 43 But he said unto them, It is necessary that the other towns also I announce the Good News of the Kingdom of God eternal, because for therefore am I sent. 44 And he preached in the synagogues of Yehudéia.

Once, when the crowd pressed Yehoshu ‘to hear the word of the eternal God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret, 2 and saw two boats standing by the lake: but the fishermen had gone out of them and were washing their nets. 3 Joining him one of the boats, which was to Shimom, asked him to put out, a bit of ground, and sitting taught; boat to the crowds. 4 When he had finished speaking, he said to Shimom: Make yourself off and cast your nets for a catch. 5 When you Shimom said: Master, we worked all night and caught nothing, but at thy word I will let down the nets. 6 Having done this, they caught a lot of fish, so that the nets were broken. 7 they beckoned to their partners that were in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both boats, ma-toms that they began to sink. 8 Seeing this Shimom Kefah, prostrated himself at the feet of Yehoshu ‘, saying: Depart from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man. 9 For sight fishing they had done, the surprise will come upon him and all who were with him as well as 10 and Ya’acov Y’ochanan, Zavidai sons, who were partners with Shimom. Yehoshu said ‘the Shimom Fear not: from henceforth thou shalt catch men. 11 And when they had brought their boats to land, they left everything and followed him. 12 While he was one of the cities, there came a man full of leprosy: who seeing the Yehoshu ‘, he fell with his face to the ground and begged him: Lord willing, thou canst make me clean. 13 Yehoshu ‘thus extending his hand, and touched him, saying, I will: be thou; clean. Instantly the leprosy left him. 14 He ordered him then to tell this to anyone. But vai, he said, show yourself to the priest and make the offering for your cleansing, as Mosheh determined for a testimony unto them. 15 His fame, however if increasingly publicized, and great multitudes came together to hear him and to be healed of their infirmities. 16 But he withdrew to the wilderness and prayed. 17 One day when he was teaching, found himself sat Pharisees and teachers of the law who had come from every village of Galil and Yehudéia, and Yehoshaléym; Y’HWH and power was with him to heal. 18 And behold, men brought in a bed a paralyzed man, tried to introduce it and put it in the middle before him. 19 But not by finding where they could bring him in because of the crowd, climbed to the roof and through the tiles, with the lowered bed, into the midst of all, before Yehoshu ‘. 20 And seeing his faith, said to him: Man, you are forgiven our sins. 21 And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this that speaks blasphemy? Who can forgive sins but God only eternal? Yehoshu 22 ‘, however, perceiving their thoughts, answered and said unto them, Why reason ye in your hearts? 23 Which is easier? 6 And it came to pass one day in shabate, passed Yehoshu ‘by cornfields, and his disciples plucked the ears and rubbing them in their hands, ate them. 2 Some of the Pharisees, however, asked: Why are you doing what is not lawful to do on a Saturday? 3 Yehoshu ‘answering them, said: Not even you read what David did when you were hungry, he and his companions? 4 How he entered the house of the eternal God, took the shewbread, which was not lawful to eat but for the priests alone, and he ate and gave also to his companions? 5 And said unto them, The Son of man is Lord of the Sabbath. 6 In yet another Shabath entered the synagogue, and set up to teach. There was a man who ti-nha right hand withered. 7 And the scribes and the Pharisees watched him to see whether he would heal in a shabate, they might find an accusation against him. 8 But he, knowing their thoughts, said to the man who had the withered hand, Rise up, and stand here in the middle. And he arose and stood. 9 And he said to them, then Yehoshu ‘: I ask you: Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil? Save life or to kill? 10 And looking around at them all, said to the man: Stretch forth your hand, He did so, and his hand was restored. 11 But they were filled with wrath, and with each other about what would conferenciavam the Yehoshu ‘. 12 In those days he withdrew to the mountain to pray, and spent the whole night in prayer to God eternal. 13 After dawn, he called his disciples and chose twelve of them, whom he also named apostles: 14 Shimom, whom he also named Kefah, and Andrew his brother; Ya’acov and Y’ochanan, Philip and son of Talmai, 15 Mattatyahuh and T’om; Ya’acov, son of Alpheus, and Shimom, called the Zealot, 16 Yehuda, son of Ya’acov, and the Kiriote Yehuda, who became a traitor. 17 And Yehoshu ‘down with them and stood on a level place where there was not only a large number of disciples, but also a great multitude of people from all Yehudéia and Yehoshaléym, and the coast of Tzor and Tsidom, who had come to hear him and to be healed of their diseases; 18 and those who were tormented by unclean spirits were cured. 19 And the whole multitude sought to touch him, because he can get out and healed them all. 20 And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor, for yours is the kingdom of God eternal. 21 Blessed are ye that hunger now because ye shall be filled. Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh. 22 Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and you injuri-arem, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man. 23 Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven: for so did their fathers unto the prophets. 24 More woe unto you that are rich! For ye have received your consolation. 25 Woe unto you that ye are full now! For ye shall hunger. Woe to you who rirdes now! For ye shall mourn and weep. 26 Woe to you when all men praise you! For so did their fathers to the false prophets. 27 But to you who hear I say, love your enemies, do good to them that hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29 To him who strikes you on one side offer him the other also, and he who takes away your cloak, do not deny them coat also. 30 Give to everyone who asks you, and to take what is yours, not advertisements him. 31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them. 32 If you love those who love you what credit is that? For even sinners do the same. 33 And if ye do good to them that you do well, what credit is that? Also the sins pains do the same. 34 And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive, what credit is that? Even sinners lend to sinners, to receive as much again. 35 But love, your enemies, do good, and lend never discouraged, and your reward will be great, and ye, sons of the Most High, for he is kind unto the unthankful and evil. 36 Headquarters, merciful, even as your Father is merciful. 37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven. 38 Then and servants shall be given: good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over will be poured into the lap, because with the same measure that medis, you will measure unto you. 39 And also offered him a parable: Can the blind lead the blind? Do not they both fall into the ditch? 40 The disciple is not more than his teacher, but everyone who is trained will be like his teacher. 41 Because thou the mote in thy brother’s eye and not the beam that is in thine own eye? 42 Or how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Hypocrite! Shoot first: the plank from your own eye, and then, shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote that is in thy brother’s eye. 43 For there is no good tree bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. 44 For every tree is known by its own fruit: for of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes. 45 The good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth good, and the evil man out of his evil treasure bringeth forth evil: for of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. 46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? 47 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will show you whom he is like: 48 He is like a man building a house, who dug, opened in-depth trench, and laid the foundation on the rock, and the flood came, the torrent broke against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built. 49 But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man which built an house upon the earth without a foundation, against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell: and great was the ruin of that house.

7 When finished uttering those words in the ears of the people, came into K’farNchaum. 2 And a certain centurion’s servant, who was dear to him, was sick almost to death. 3 The centurion, therefore, hearing of Yehoshu ‘, sent them to the elders of the yehudin asking him to come and heal his servant. 4 And when they came to Yehoshu ‘, besought him with proceedings, saying: It is worthy to grant you this, 5 because he loves our nation and he hath built us a synagogue. 6 Ia therefore Yehoshu ‘with them, but when he was near the house, sent, the centurion, friends say unto him, Lord do not bother, because I am not worthy to have you come under my roof; 7 per I thought this is not even worthy to come to you; But say a word, and my servant shall be healed. 8 For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this, Go, and he goeth: and to another, Come, and he cometh: and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. 9 Yehoshu ‘heard it marveled him, and turning to the crowd following him, he said: I tell you, not even in Israel have I found such faith. 10 And returning to the house that had been sent, they found the slave in good health. 11 Shortly after he went to a town called Nayn, and he went with his disciples and a large crowd. 12 When He came near the gate of the city, behold, a dead man carried out, only son of his mother, who was a widow, and she was a great crowd of the city. 13 And when the Lord saw her he was filled with compassion for her, and said unto her, Weep not. 14 And he came up and touched the bier, when they that bare him stood, said: Boy, I say unto thee, Arise. 15 The dead man sat up and began to speak. So Yehoshu ‘delivered him to his mother. 16 The fear came upon all, and they glorified the eternal God, saying, A great prophet has arisen among us: and, Y’HWH visited his people. 17 And the word went throughout this Yehudéia and throughout the surrounding region. 18 And the disciples of Y’ochanan shewed him of all these things. 19 And Y’ochanan, calling two of them, sent the Lord to ask him, Art thou he that should come, or look we for another? 20 When the men were come unto him, they said Y’ochanan, the Baptist has sent us unto thee, Art thou he that should come, or look we for another? 21 In that hour; cured many diseases, diseases and evil spirits, and gave sight to many who were blind. 22 And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell Y’ochanan what you have seen and heard: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor have announced good new. 23 And blessed is he who takes no offense at me. 24 And, having retired the messengers of Y’ochanan, Yehoshu ‘began saying to the crowds about Y’ochanan: What you came to do in the desert? A reed shaken with the wind? 25 But what went ye out to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, those who wear soft robes precious, and live in delights, are in kings’ courts. 26 But what went ye out to see? A prophet? Yes, I say, and more than a prophet. 27 This is he of whom it is written in the prophets: I will send my messenger, and he will clear the way for Me 28 For I say unto you, among those born of women, there is no greater than Y’ochanan, but he that is least in the kingdom of the eternal God is greater than he. 29 And all the people that heard him, and the publicans, recognized the justice of the eternal God, receiving the baptism of Y’ochanan. 30 But the Pharisees and the lawyers rejected the counsel of God eternal as himself, not having been baptized by him. 31 What, then, compare the men of this generation, and what are they like? 32 They are like children sitting in the square, shouting to each other: ‘We played the flute for you, and you did not dance; regrets sing-ing, and not wept. 33 Because Y’ochanan came, the baptizer, neither eating bread nor drinking wine, and you say, He hath a devil, 34 The Son of man came eating and drinking, and you say: Behold here a glutton and a wine drinker, a friend of publicans and sinners. 35 But wisdom is justified of all her children. 36 One of the Pharisees invited him to eat with him, and going into the Pharisee’s house, and sat down at the table. 37 And behold, a woman in the city who was a sinner, when she learned that he was at table in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster box of ointment, 38 and standing behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head, and kissed them standing and anointed them with ointment. 39 But when he saw that the Pharisee who had invited you spoke saying, if this man were a prophet, would know who and what manner of woman this is who is touching him, for she is a sinner. 40 And answering Yehoshu ‘, he told them: Shimom, I have something to tell you. Replied he: Tell the Teacher. 41 certain creditor had two debtors: one owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. 42 And when they had to pay, he forgave them both. Which of them will love him more? 43 Shimom said: I suppose that he, to whom most perdoou.Replicou you Yehoshu ‘Thou hast rightly judged. 44 And turning to the woman, told Shimom Seest thou this woman? I entered your house, you gave me no water for my feet: but this, with their tears, showered and wiped them with her hair. 45 You gave me no kiss, but she, since I entered, has not stopped kissing my feet. 46 You did not anoint; head with oil, but with balsam; anointed my feet. 47 Therefore I say to you are forgiven your sins, which are many, for she loved much: but he who is forgiven little, loves little. 48 And said to her, ‘Your sins are forgiven. 49 But those who were at table with him began to say among themselves, Who is this who even forgives sins? 50 Yehoshu ‘, but said to the woman, Thy faith hath made thee whole: go in peace.

8 Shortly thereafter, walked Yehoshu ‘from town to town and from village to village, preaching and bringing the good news of the kingdom of God eternal, and went with him, the twelve, 2 and also some women who had been cured of sidas evil spirits and infirmities: Myriam called Magdalah, which had come out seven demons. 3 Y’ochanah, wife of Kuza, attorney for Herod, Shoshanh, and many others who served him with their goods. 4 And gathering up a large crowd, and people come to him from all the cities, said Yehoshu ‘by parable: 5 The sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some seeds fell along the path, and was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it. 6 Some fell on rock, and, born, dried for lack of moisture. 7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew with it, and choked it. 8 But other fell into good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit, some a hundred. As he spake these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. 9 asked him what his disciples this parable meant. 10 The Res-lation replied Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of the eternal God: but to others in parables: that seeing they may not see, and hearing they might not understand. 11 It is therefore this is the parable: The seed is the word of the eternal God. 12 Those by the wayside are the ones who hear, but then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. 13 Those on the rock are those who, hearing the word, receive it with joy, but these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. 14 And that which fell among thorns are those who have heard, and going their way they are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. 15 But that on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with honest and good heart, a, retain and bring forth fruit with patience. 16 Let no man therefore light a lamp and covers it with a vessel, or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light. 17 For there is nothing hidden that shall not manifest, nor anything secret that shall not be known and come to light. 18 Take heed therefore how ye hear: for anyone who has will be given, and whoever does not have, even what seems to have will be taken away. 19 Then came to him his mother his brethren, and could not approach him because of the crowd. 20 It was said unto her, Thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to see you. 21 But he said unto them, My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and keep it forever. 22 Now it happened one day that got into a boat with his disciples, and said unto them, Let us go over to the other side of the lake. And departed. 23 While sailing, he adorme-sky, and came down a storm of wind on the lake, and the boat was filling with water, and were in jeopardy. 24 And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, Mes-tre, we perish. And he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and made a calm. 25 Then they asked: Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, Who then is this, that even the winds and the water charge, and they obey him? 26 They arrived to the land of Gerasenes, which is before the Galil. 27 Once leaped ashore, came out to meet him a man of the city, devils, which had long ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs. 28 When he saw the Yehoshu ‘, screamed, fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Yehoshu’ Son of the Most High God? I beseech thee, torment me not. 29 For Yehoshu ‘commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For it had been a long time that had seized him, and kept him, bound with fetters and chains, but he brake the bands, and was driven by the devil into the wilderness. 30 asked him Yehoshu ‘: What is your name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him. 31 And they begged him not to send him into the abyss. 32 Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine, besought him, therefore allowing them to enter into them, and gave them leave. 33 And having demons, left the man and entered into the swine: and the herd rushed down the steep place into the lake and drowned. 34 When the herdsmen saw what had happened, they fled, and was told it in the city and in the country. 35 Then they went out to see what had happened, and came to Yehoshu ‘, at whose feet found sitting, clothed and in his right mind, the man from whom the demons had gone out, and they were afraid. 36 Those who had seen it told them how the demoniac was healed. 37 Then all the people of the region Gerasenes besought him to depart from them, for they were taken with great fear. At that he got into the boat and returned. 38 I asked him, but the man from whom the demons had gone out that he might be with him, but Yehoshu ‘sent him away, saying, 39 Return to thine house, and everything Y’HWH the eternal God made you. And he withdrew, publishing throughout the city all that Yehoshu ‘had done. 40 When Yehoshu ‘returned to mul-racy received, they were all waiting. 41 And behold, there came a man named yairo, who was head of the synagogue, and fell down at the feet of Yehoshu ‘, begged him to go to his house, 42 because he had an only daughter, about twelve years old, who was death. While therefore he went, the crowds pressed him. 43 And a woman who had a hemorrhage for twelve years {and spent with doctors;} all their possessions and neither could be healed, 44 coming up behind him, and touched the hem of his garment, and immediately ceased your bleeding. Asked Yehoshu 45 ‘: Who touched me? When all denied, Kefah told him: Master, the crowds will tighten and oppress you. 46 But he said Yehoshu ‘: Someone touched me, for I noticed that power has gone out from me. 47 Then, seeing that the woman had not gone unnoticed, ap-ximou up trembling, and fell down before him, she declared unto him before all the people the reason why they had touched him, and how she was healed immediately. 48 He said to her: Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole: go in peace. 49 While he was still speaking, someone came from the house of the synagogue official, saying, Thy daughter is dead, trouble not the Master. 50 Yehoshu ‘, but listening to him, replied: No, themes, only believe and be saved. 51 Having come to the house to let anyone go in with him, but the Kefah, Y’ochanan, Ya’acov, and the girl’s father. 52 And all wept, and bewailed her: but he said, Weep not: she is not dead but asleep. 53 And they laughed at him, knowing that she was dead. 54. So he, taking her hand, exclaimed: Girl arise. 55 And the spirit returned, and she got up immediately, and Yehoshu ‘had to give him to eat. 56 And her parents were amazed: and he commanded them to tell no one what had happened.

9th. Bringing together the twelve, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases, 2 and sent to preach the kingdom of God eternal, and to heal, 3 telling them: Take nothing for your journey, neither staff, nor scrip, neither bread, neither money, neither have two coats apiece. 4 Whatever house you enter, it tarry, and thence depart. 5 But wherever ye receive not, leaving that city, shake off the dust from your feet for a testimony against them. 6 Leaving therefore the disciples come a long curred the villages, preaching the good news and healing everywhere. 7 Now Herod the tetrarch heard of all that was happening, and was greatly perplexed because some said: Y’ochanan rose from the dead, 8 others: Eliahu appeared, and others, one of the old prophets is risen again. 9 Herod, however, said: The Y’ochanan I beheaded, but who is this, about whom I hear such things? And he sought to see him. 10 When the apostles returned, told him all they had done. And he, taking them with him, withdrew apart to a city called Beth-Saida. 11 But the multitudes, perceiving it, followed him: and he received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of the eternal God, and healed those who needed healing. 12 Now when the day began to decline, approaching the Twelve, said to him, Send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages and sites around, if hosts, and find nothing to eat, we are here in desert place. 13 But he said unto them, Thus ye them to eat. And they said, We have no more but five loaves and two fishes; saved if we go and buy food for all these people. 14 For they were about five thousand men. Then he said to her, Make them sit down in groups of about fifty each. 15 So they did, sending them all sit down. 16 And taking Yehoshu ‘the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, blessed and broke them, and gave to his disciples to set before the crowd. 17 All therefore ate and were filled: and they were raised, what will remain, twelve baskets with the pieces. 18 While he was praying apart were with him only his disciples, and saith unto them, Who say to the multitudes who I am? 19 They replied, Some say Y’ochanan, the Baptist, others that one of the old prophets is risen again. 20 He asked them, But whom say ye that I am? Responding Kefah said: The Messiah Y’HWH. Yehoshu 21 ‘, however, warned them, told them not to tell this to anyone, 22 and said to them: It is necessary, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, that is dead, and the third day rise again. 23 Then he said to all: If someone come after me, let him deny himself and take up his load, and follow me. 24 For whosoever will save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it. 25 For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and lose himself, or harm to yourself? 26 For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him is the Son of man be ashamed, when he comes in his glory, of the Father and of the holy angels. 27 But I say to you: There are some who are standing here who shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God eternal. 28 About eight days after these sayings, he took Yehoshu ‘with the Shimom Kefah the Y’ochanan and Ya’acov, and went up the mountain to pray. 29 While he prayed moved the appearance of his face, and his clothes became white and gleaming. 30 Behold, there talked with him two men, who were Sheh-Mo and Eliahu, 31 who appeared in glory and spoke of his departure, which he was to accomplish at Yehoshaléym. 32 Now Kefah and those who were with him had left overcome by sleep, awakening, however, viewed, his glory and the two men who were with him. 33 And when they were parting from him, said the Kefah Yehoshu ‘Rabbi, it is good for us to be here: let us therefore three tabernacles, one for thee, one for Mosheh, and one for Eliahuh, not knowing what he said. 34 While he was yet speaking, there came a cloud that overshadowed them: and they were afraid as they entered the cloud. 35 And the cloud came a voice that said: This is my Son, my chosen: hear him. 36 When this voice sound, Yehoshu ‘was found alone and they held their peace, and in those days told no one what they had seen nothing. 37 The next day, when they came down the hill, came to meet a large crowd. 38 And behold, a man from the crowd cried out, saying, Master, I beg you to look at my son, because it is only that I have; 39 for a spirit seizes him, making him scream suddenly convulses him to skim and even after he had broken, hardly wide. 40 And I besought thy disciples to cast out them, but could not. 41 Yehoshu said ‘O faithless and perverse generation! Even when I am with you, and suffer you? Bring me thy son. 42 Even when he was approaching the demon threw him down and convulsed him but Yehoshu ‘rebuked the spirit-of Immunology, healed the boy and gave him to his father. 43 And they were all astonished the majesty of the eternal God. And marveling at all of what Yehoshu ‘did, he said to his disciples, 44 Let these words sink into your ears: for the Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men. 45 But they understood not this word, whose meaning was concealed from them that did not understand, and they feared to ask him about it. 46 And has raised up among them a discussion about which of them was the greatest. 47 But Yehoshu ‘, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a child, and set him beside him, 48 and said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever receiveth me receiveth him that sent me: for he who among you all, is the lowest, that is great. 49 Y’ochanan told him: Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and we forbade him, because he followeth not us. 50 answered him Yehoshu ‘Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us. 51 When the day was completed to its assumption, expressed his firm resolve to go Yehoshaléym. 52 And he sent messengers before him. So they entered a village of the Samaritans to prepare her inn. 53 did not receive him, because they traveled toward Yehoshaléym. 54 Seeing this the disciples and Ya’acov Y’ochanan, said Lord want us to call down fire from heaven to consume them as Eliahu did? 55 But he turned, rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what spirit, you are. 56 For the Son of man came not to destroy the lives of men, but to save them. And they went to another village. 57 When they went on the road, a man said to him: Follow thee wherever you go. 58 Yehoshu answered him ‘: The foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head. 59 And another said, ‘Follow me. To which he replied: lets me go first and bury my father. 60 Yehoshu answered him ‘: Let the dead bury their own dead, but thou and preach the kingdom vai of Y’HWH. He added another 61: Lord, I will follow, but first let me say goodbye to those who are in my house. Yehoshu 62 ‘, however, replied: No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God eternal.

10 After this the Lord appointed seventy others, and sent them before him, two by two, into every city and place, whither he himself would come. 2 And he said to them: Actually the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest. 3 Go: behold, I send you as lambs among wolves. 4 Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way. 5 Whatever house you enter, first say: Peace be to this house. 6 And if there is a child there’s peace rest upon it your peace, and if not, return to you. 7 Stay in that house, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the laborer is worthy of his wages. Go not from house to house. 8 And into whatsoever city you enter, and they receive you eat that’s set before you. 9 And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, It is come unto the kingdom of God eternal. 10 But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, leaving the streets, say, 11 Even the very dust of your city, which took us to the feet, wipe off against you. However, know this: That the Kingdom of God is eternal arrived. 12 I tell you, that day shall be more tolerable for Sidon, than for that city. 13 Woe to thee. Korazim! Woe to thee. Beit-Tsaidah! Because in Tzor and Tzidon if they had the miracles that have taken place in you, a lot, sitting in sackcloth and ashes, they would have repented. 14 However, for Tzor Tzidon and shall be more tolerable in the judgment than for you. 15 And thou, K’farNachum, shalt thou be exalted unto heaven? So come down to hades. 16 He that hears you, heareth me, and he who rejects you, rejects me, and he who rejects me, rejects him who sent me. 17 the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, in thy name, even the demons are subject to us. 18 He answered them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. 19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. 20 Nevertheless do not rejoice because the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven. 21 In that same hour he rejoiced Ye-Hoshu ‘in the Spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to babes: yea, Father, for such was your gracious will. 22 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son except the Father, and no one knows who the Father is except the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. 23 And turning to the disciples and said to them in particular: Blessed are they who see what you see. 24 For I tell you that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them, and hear what you hear, and have not heard. 25 And behold, there arose certain lawyer, and to experience, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? 26 asked him Yehoshu ‘: What is written in the Torah? How do you read? 27 And he answered him, Thou shalt love; Y’HWH to the Lord your God with all your heart, all your life, all your strength and with all your under-standing, and thy neighbor as thyself. It has 28 Yehoshu him ‘: answered right; make it, and you will live. 29 But he, desiring to justify himself, said to Yehoshu ‘: And who is my neighbor? 30 Yeshu ‘continuing, he said, A certain man went down from the Yehoshaléym Yerihó, and fell among thieves, which stripped them and Spanish Street-ing him, and departed, leaving half dead. 31-Casual mind, down by certain priest that way: and seeing him, went wide. 32 And likewise a Levite came to the place and saw him, and went wide. 33 But one of the Shomrom, as he journeyed, came to him and seeing him was filled with compassion; approximately 34 and send-up, tied them to the wound, pouring on oil and wine, and set him him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn and took care dele.35 The next day he took out two denarii, gave them to the innkeeper and said unto him, Take care of him, and whatever more you spend, when I return I will repay . 36 Which now of these three do you think was neighbor unto him that fell among the thieves? Respon-37 gave the lawyer: He that shewed mercy on him. I told him, because Yehoshu ‘Go, and do thou likewise. 38 Now when they went on their way, came Yehoshu ‘a village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house. 39 And she had a sister named Myriam, who was sitting at the Lord’s feet, heard his word. 40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came and said, Lord, do not you care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Bid her therefore that she help me. 41 The Lord answered her, Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, 42 although few are needed, or even one, and Myriam chosen that good part, which shall not be taken from her.

11. Yehoshu was’ praying in a certain place, and when it was over, I told him one of his disciples, Lord, teach us to pray, as Y’ochanan also taught his disciples. 2 When they said: When you pray, say: Father, hallowed be thy name; Thy kingdom come; 3 gives us each day our daily bread, 4 and forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who owes us, and let us not enter into temptation, but deliver us from evil. 5 I also told him: If one of you has a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight and say to him: Friend lend me three loaves, 6 for a friend of mine, being on a journey, came to my house, and have nothing to offer; 7 and he from within shall answer: Do not bother me, the door is now shut, and my children with me in bed, I can not get up to meet you, tell you that 8 though not lift and give him because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many loaves precisar.9 so I say: Ask and it is unto you, seek and find, knock and opens up unto you; 10 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and he who knocks, the door to him-A.11 What father among you, if his son ask bread, will give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish will give him a snake instead of a fish? 12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will give you a Slippery-pawn? 13 If ye being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more will the heavenly Father goods to them that ask him? He was 14 Yehoshu ‘casting out a demon that was mute, and that happened, leaving the de-tage, the dumb spake: and the multitudes marveled. 15 But some of them said Ba’alzebub by the prince of demons. 16 And others, trying him, asked him for a sign from heaven. 17 But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and house upon house shall fall. 18 And if Satan is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? Because ye say that I cast out by demo-nios Ba’alzebub. 19 And if I cast out demons by Ba’alzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges. 20 But if it is by the finger of the eternal God that I cast out demons, then is come unto the kingdom of Y’HWH the eternal God. Quan of the 21-valent armed guard; your home; safe are your assets; 22 but, coming a stronger than him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armor wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils. 23 He that is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters. 24 Now when the unclean spirit out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and finding none, he says, I will return to my house whence I came out. 25 And coming up, think it swept and garnished. 26 Then it goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there: and the last state of that man becomes worse than the first. 27 Now as he spake these things, a certain woman from the crowd raised her voice and said: Blessed is the womb that bore you and the breasts that you amamentaste. 28 But he said, Yea rather, blessed are those who hear the word of the eternal God and obey it. 29 As the crowds flowed, he began to say: this is an evil generation: they seek a sign, and no sign be given to it, except to Y’onah, 30 because, as Y’onah was a sign to the Ninevites, also the Son of man be to this generation. 31 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Sh’lomom, and behold one greater than Sh’lomom. 32 The men of Nive rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching-ram of Jonah, and behold one greater than Jonah. 33 No one after lighting a lamp puts it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a lampstand so that those who enter may see the light. 34 The lamp of the body is the eye. When therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body will be bright, but when they are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. 35 See, then, that the light which is in thee be not darkness. 36 If therefore thy whole body has illuminated, having no part dark, it will be wholly bright, as when a lamp shines with its bright. 37 Ending Yehoshu ‘speaking, a Pharisee invited him to dine with him: and he Yehoshu’ in, and sat down at the table. 38 The Pharisee was amazed seeing that he had not first washed before dinner. 39 And the Lord said to him: Now ye the Pharisees cleanse the outside of the cup and dish, but inside you are full of greed and wickedness. 40 Crazy! Who made the outside, also did the interior? 41 But give as alms what is inside of the cup and dish, and behold, all things shall be clean. 42 But woe to you Pharisees! For ye tithe mint and rue and every herb, and neglect justice and the love of the eternal God. But these things do not leave those imported. 43 Woe to you Pharisees! Because like the pri-nurses seats seats in the synagogues, and greetings in the marketplaces. 44 Woe unto you! For ye are as graves which appear not, over which men walk without knowing it. 45 He said to him, then one of the doctors of law: Teacher, when you say that, we also affront to us. 46 But he said: Woe unto you also, lawyers! Because load men with burdens hard to bear-su, and you yourselves do not with your fingers tocais these burdens. 47 Woe unto you! Because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and your fathers killed. 48 Thus are witnesses and approve of the deeds of your fathers: for they killed them, and ye build their Tumu them. 49 Therefore also said the wisdom of the eternal God: Prophets and apostles, send them, and they will kill some and persecute, 50 so that this generation ask if accounts of the blood of all the prophets since the world began was poured, 51 from the blood of Hevel to the blood of Zekharyah, who was killed between the altar and the sanctuary: yea, I say unto you, this generation will ask if accounts. 52 Woe unto you, lawyers! Because you took the key of knowledge: ye entered not in themselves, and impe-distes those who entered. 53 Leaving him there, the scribes and the Pharisees to squeeze it tightly, and interrogate him about many things, 54 armando wait for him, to get him into something that dis-sesse.

12 Raking up, however many thousands of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began Yehoshu ‘first to say to his disciples: Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. 2 But there is nothing covered that shall not be revealed, nor hidden that shall not be known. 3 For everything spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear in office, shall be preached upon the housetops. 4 I tell you, my friends: Do not fear those who kill the body and after that can do nothing. 5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell: yea, I say unto you, this temei.6 not two sparrows sold for two pennies? And none of them is forgotten before Y’HWH. 7 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are worth more than many sparrows. 8 And I tell you, whoever acknowledges me before men, the Son of man also confess before the angels of Y’HWH. 9 But everyone who denies me before men, I also will deny before the angels of Y’HWH 10 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit, not you will perdoado.11 When therefore ye take to the synagogues, the rulers and authorities, no thought how or what ye shall answer, or what ye shall dizer.12 Because the Spirit will teach you in the same hour that ye ought to say. 13 told him someone from the crowd, Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me. 14 But he answered: Man who made me a judge or divider over you? 15 And said to them: Take heed and beware of all kinds of greed: for a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions. 16 He told them a parable, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: 17 and he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do? Because I have no room where to bestow my fruits. 18 He said: I will do this: pull down my barns and buildings-Carei larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods; 19 and say to myself: I’m in the composite-many goods for many years, rest, eat, drink, treat me. 20 But the eternal God told him Insensa-to, tonight will ask you your life, and you have prepared-rado, who will? 21 Thus, it is he who joins treasure for himself and is not rich toward God eternal. 22 And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, nor about your body, what you will wear. 23 For life is more than food and the body more than clothing. 24 Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap, no expenses nor barn, yet Y’HWH feeds. How Are ye not more than many birds! 25 And which of you by being anxious can add one cubit to his stature? 26 Wherefore, if ye can not do the things minimal, because ye thought for the rest? 27 Consider the lilies, how they grow: they do not work, nor do they spin, yet I tell you that not even Sh’lomom in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 28 If therefore the eternal God so clothe the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will you men of little faith? 29 Do not seek, for what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, and walk not worried. 30 For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knows that you need them. 31 But seek his kingdom, and these things will be added. 32 Fear not, little flock; Because by your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. 33 Sell what you have, and give alms. Make purses for yourselves that do not enve-lheçam, a treasure in heaven that faileth where no

thief and not a moth gnaws. 34 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. 35 Be girded your loins and burning your lamps burning, 36 and seats like men who wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding, that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open to him. 37 Blessed heating-les servants whom the master, when he cometh shall find watching: Verily I say unto you that he shall gird himself, and make them recline at table, and came up and serve them. And why doubts arise in your hearts? 39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. 40 And saying this, he showed them his hands and feet. 41 Not believing them yet because of joy, and wondered, he said unto them Yehoshu ‘: Have you anything here to eat? 42 And they gave him a piece of broiled fish, 43 which he took and ate before them. 44 Then saith unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, being yet present with you, what mattered was that cumpris-without all that were written in the Law of Mosheh, the Prophets and the Psalms. 45 Then he opened their under-standing might understand the scriptures, 46 and said unto them, Thus it is written in the Torah that the Messiah padeces up, and the third day rise from the dead, 47 and that should be preached in his name repentance for the remission of sins to all nations, beginning at Yehoshaléym. 48 And ye are witnesses of these things. 49 And behold, I send upon you the promise of my Father: but tarry ye in the city, until ye be clothed with the high power. 50 And brought them out, to Beth-Aniah, and raising hands, abençoou.51 It happened, while he blessed them, he departed from them, and carried up into heaven. 52 And after the worship, returned with great joy to Yehoshaláym; 53 and were continually in the temple blessing God eternal Y’HWH.
